What’s In My Bag—Wellness Ambassador

Here are my top 5 go-to travel items I never forget to pack – no matter where I go or how I get there.

1. A Lacrosse Ball
Because your personal masseuse can’t always travel with you. Manipulating a Lacrosse Ball against a wall or in a seat will put pressure into those trigger points and effectively release them.
2. Travel Size Foam Roller
Self-myofascial release, otherwise known as “foam rolling” is now a common technique once used only by athletes, coaches and therapists. Available in travel sizes to quell that airplane seat-induced inflammation.
3. Kleen Kanteen
Kleen Kanteen commands water consumption, a traveling essential. These were the first stainless steel, BPA-free, reusable water bottles, a nontoxic solution to plastic.
4. NUUN Portable Electrolytes or Coconut Water
Nuun portable tablets are small but pack big benefits. Coconut water is another good option as a natural source of electrolytes and a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals.
5. Resistance Bands
Virtually weightless and requiring minimal space in your luggage, the bands will keep you on top of daily rituals. They come in a variety of resistances that enable you to perform strength training without the need for weights.
