Kid-Fueled Fun

Camp Woodward brings action-packed programming to all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels.

If you’ve ever traveled with tweens or teens, you know the drill—from the eye rolls to the labored sighs to the pained expressions. After all, family vacations are so not cool. Until now.

Starting in 2016, young people visiting all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels in the Riviera Maya and Punta Cana can experience the excitement of Camp Woodward, one of the biggest names in action sports programming.

Each custom 20,000-square-foot Woodward facility will include skateboarding/BMX parks, tumbling floor, foam pit, snack bar,  viewing promenade, digital media space and DJ booth. Young (or old)  guests can also partake in cheer and hip-hop dance programs, trampoline and Parkour, not to mention enjoy dry land snowboarding and snowskiing. Yes, really.

According to the All Inclusive Collection’s Frank Maduro, these actionsports facilities (a first in Mexico and the Caribbean) will be both unexpected and authentic. “We wanted to provide kids and teens with a natural and organic environment that did not force them to go to a ‘teen club,’” he said. “It’s about doing something that is genuinely fun.”

Grand Opening events will take place in early 2016, and sports celebrities like Shaun White and Tony Hawk will be on hand for the celebrations. “We’ll have demonstrations by top professionals, interactive lessons … and it will all culminate with a world-class concert,” Maduro said.
