Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival, Grand Bahama Island – April 28-29 and Nassau – May 4-6
These two day festivals bring great vibes featuring Caribbean and International artists heating it up nightly. The semi-finalists battle it out to win a performance at the Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival in Nassau. There’s also plenty of Bahamian food and dance.
Grand Cayman Batabano Cayman Carnival – May 6
This joyous celebration combines live Caribbean music, high-energy dancing, and simply outrageous costumes when the city transforms into a street party with a parade and bazaar. This island’s national carnival is held annually in the capital city of George Town.
Jamaica Reggae Sumfest, Montego Bay – July 16-22
Sumfest bills itself as the greatest reggae show on earth, it’s certainly the largest concert festival in Jamaica. This weeklong festival features a performance lineup of both local and global talent, with parties happening from sunset to sunrise. Once the festival ends head to the beaches for some much needed relaxation.
St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival – May 12-14
This festival is comprised of over 50 artists from all over the world performing at 15 different venues throughout the island. Attendees will enjoy not only jazz music but rhythm and blues as well as Calypso. With gourmet chefs, fashion and fine arts, this impressive festival is distinctively St. Lucian.
Punta Cana Food & Wine Festival– June 16-17
This festival combines high-end gastronomy with the Caribbean paradisiacal ambiance of Punta Cana. Flavors full of innovation from top international chefs and sommeliers will awaken the senses at this tribute to the gastronomic arts. There are cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, food pairings, cocktail parties and wine seminars.
